The warmer weather may not quite be here yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get ready for the upcoming Spring issue of Wild, #185. With printing just around the corner—we’re preparing to go print in the next week—we’re putting the finishing touches on what’s going to be an awesome issue. As you may guess from the cover, conservation is a key theme. What’s happening in so many of our wild lands is a tragedy, but that said, there’s
still hope. In this issue, we have stories from Dr. Jennifer Sanger, who argues that Tasmania’s native forests offer a real climate solution; from Majell Backhausen, who traversed Victoria’s proposed Great Forests National Park and argues convincingly for its creation; and from photographer Matthew Newton, whose powerful photo essay documents two decades of Tasmanian forest activism.
